About this deal

The cons of the extra design are that it is a bit big for a pistol, making it too large to holster or conceal. Without attachments, it is also too small to be a primary. That being said, the Commander is comfortable to hold and use. Ammo and Loading: 7.8/10 While firing the blaster at a normal angle, I measured an average range of 45-55 feet. When firing angled upwards, I got an average of 65-75 feet. The farthest dart went to 85 feet, which is still below the advertised 90. Reliability and Durability 8.5/10 There is currently only one version of the Nerf Elite 2.0 Commander. As this is a common gun, it can be found at most major retailers. Featured in our list of best Nerf guns, this blaster comes highly recommended, but is it right for you?

As the Commander is one of the least expensive blasters you can buy, there isn’t too much to complain about. The Airblitz action is fun to use. Load up to 6 darts in the Airblitz barrel and prime the air tank by pumping the priming mechanism located at the bottom of the blaster. Once your tank is primed, there is a button on the side of the gun that releases 6 Elite darts at once—perfect for sending a message to your opponents or taking down multiple rivals with one shot. Those who love dressing their dart guns up like barbie dolls, with attachments, of course, will love this. When we first saw the NERF Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-32, it blew our minds (not literally, we’re okay). It feels like Hasbro threw the rulebook out the window when conceiving the Flipshots sub-series of Elite 2.0.

The Elite 2.0 Motoblitz comes with a total of 22 NERF Elite foam darts, more than enough to fill your clip and the Airblitz barrel. Additionally, the blaster features an integrated tactical scope, which is perfect for aiming and taking out targets from a distance, and three tactical rails—one at the top and one on each side of the blaster—for plenty of customization options. The Flipshots sub-series features blasters that have a "flipping" mechanic that allows the user to switch between two sets of barrels of darts.

Based on the ranking factors above, I give the Nerf Elite 2.0 Commander a 8.2 out of 10. The Nerf Commander is one of those guns I think will “wow” some people but leave others wanting a bit more. Initial reception to Elite 2.0 was very mixed. While the inclusion of additional darts, an abundance of accessory attachment points, and the overall ergonomics of Elite 2.0 blasters have been praised, the changes to how the blasters are assembled have been highly criticized. Many of the first Elite 2.0 blasters were assembled in a way that makes modification and repairs difficult. While blasters are still held together by standard screws and/or pressure clips, as introduced in the Alpha Strike line of blasters, many others are also ultrasonically or solvent-welded together. The quality of the plastic used in production has also been called "thin", compared to previous or other releases, and some parts such as jam doors can be easily snapped off. Additionally, many of the metal springs in blasters have been replaced with plastic leaf springs, which are less strong and can break after long periods of time. If you want to get weird with lots of stuff on your gun, that is great, but more attachments are not always better with this blaster. A large scope on top will interfere with the priming, and a large barrel with reduce the FPS. Despite this, none of the blasters themselves feature their number codes on the shell, only their name. My Commander has seen some use and only will give you trouble when using bent or highly worn darts.

Elite 2.0 was first leaked online in early 2020, with imageless listings for most of its products popping up on numerous online retail stores. Starting in June, images of the blasters gradually began to surface. The Nerf Halo MA40 is a motorized, clip-fed blaster that can fire 10 darts in a row from a 10-dart clip. Prime the blaster with the pump action Hold down the acceleration button to power up the blaster's motor, then press the trigger to fire 1 dart and press the trigger again to shoot another dart. The Nerf Halo MA40 can even be customized with Nerf accessories (not included) thanks to a rail riser that attaches to the blaster's tactical rail. Firing at an average of 70 FPS, the Commander does consistently shoot the Nerf average. You will get an occasional dart that shoots below 60, but the highest I saw was 75. The Commander includes twelve darts that have a bit of a different color design than the standard. Six are teal with orange tips, and the other six are orange with teal tips. This isn’t a huge deal, but using the different varieties can help your find your specific Nerf darts once the smoke of a battle clears.AccuStrike Series • BattleCamo Series • Curve Shot • Dude Perfect • Edge Series • Flipshots • GelFire • Ghost Ops • ICON Series • Laser Ops Classic • Micro Shots • Monster Hunters • Retro • Survival System • Vortex VTX • Wild Edition

The Commander serves as the replacement for the Strongarm/Disruptor, and while other blasters can get better performance for less money – a Nerf fan who buys one probably won’t be disappointed. One of the best things about this blaster is its ability to be customized. It comes with a detachable scope, barrel, and 3 tactical rails, allowing you to create different blaster styles for any situation. This is perfect for players who want to switch up their strategy and take advantage of different situations. Interestingly, despite being a follow-up to N-Strike Elite, the word "N-Strike" is not present in Elite 2.0's name.Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.
